Our approach is always simple.

We ask one question first: can we add value? If we can, we build your finished website for you to see, before you pay anything.

Part of the Optima family.

Optima Web Design is a trading name of Optima Online Solutions Limited, alongside Salon Optima, Dental Optima and the Optima Platform. Each is an online performance solution for small and medium businesses, focused on the needs of its sector.

We offer a broad range of performance-designed websites, and can add seamless solutions for appointment booking, ecommerce, back-office integration and database builds.

02How we work

Small team. Smart tools. Human judgement.

Optima is deliberately a small, hands-on team.

After years of building websites behind marketing agencies, we decided to go direct, which means we have no agency layers and no sales machine. Instead, you get technical know-how, our own smart tools and human expertise, providing websites direct to business owners.

We have built our own range of specialist tools to help with market research, search testing, website structure and development. They help us work more efficiently, keep costs down for our clients and create the building blocks for websites that reflect the needs and expectations of different business sectors.

Those building blocks are then tailored to the individual business, its services, customers, branding, look and feel.

Every preview we provide is assembled, reviewed, edited and refined by us before you see it. We check the wording, layout, customer journey, mobile experience and, importantly, whether the website gives visitors strong reasons to choose your business.

Our tools enable us to work smarter and faster. Human judgement is what turns those pieces into an affordable website built specifically for you.

03Why this way

We recognised the lack of fairness in the system.

In today's climate, with the speed of technology, the old ways leave you two choices: pay before you see anything, or set yourself up as a trainee with DIY tools and build it yourself. The costs differ, but both are a blind gamble. You pay first, then find out what you get.

01

Agency build

You pay a fee for a website to be built, then wait, often weeks, for it to appear, and trust that it wins enquiries for you. It is a real gamble with your money. We do things quite differently.

02

DIY self-build

A DIY website hands a busy person another job: that of a trainee. Learning, trial and error, re-thinks and re-starts to reach an outcome. And a self-built site sends its own message to visitors about your business. We do things quite differently.

03

Optima Build

We build a free preview of your new website. If you like it, you buy it. If you don't, you don't. We think that is a genuinely fair process, and a high-value service for our clients. The value of a website is not what it cost to build; it is the value of the enquiries it brings the business.

04How the price works

How £20 a month is actually possible.

We build on our own platform and host everything ourselves, so there is no third-party licence in your monthly bill. The people who build the website are the people you deal with.

It is our standard rate, not an introductory one. It does not climb after six months.

What you are not paying for

  • Third-party platform licences
  • Bonused salespeople and account managers
  • Fancy offices and expensive lunches
  • Awards ceremonies
  • Big advertising spends

So the whole bill is

£20/ month

05The complete package

Everything a small business needs, in one price.

Found, built and kept running, with nothing sold back to you as a monthly extra.

01

Found on Google & AI

Local search set up properly when the site is built, and checked as it settles, not sold back to you as a monthly extra.

02

Full technical functions

Our service includes all the normal technical services, like domain transfer or setup, with UK hosting and SSL.

03

It's the combination that matters

Technical know-how that brings visitors to your website, and layout and language crafted to engage them. It is the combination that converts them to enquiries.
